03 — Proof

What is measured, and what is not.

The hours and the setup time are catalog math at a stated volume. Production telemetry is not published yet, and nothing here pretends otherwise.

Catalog math

5 filing states × 90 min of rate/nexus/return prep + ~2.5h of invoice tax cleanup

Run telemetry

04 — What it does / 5 outputs

Maps invoice and nexus data to filing obligations and a rate-ready invoice file.

  • Nexus watch list
  • invoice exception file
  • monthly state packet

05 — One run

What one run takes in, and what it puts back.

No sandbox on this page yet. This is the real input and output contract from the record, not a demo recording.

In

  • Invoices with ship-to
  • SKU taxability
  • current registrations
  • exemption certs
  • nexus threshold table
  • marketplace reports

Out

  • Nexus watch list
  • invoice exception file
  • monthly state packet
  • cert-expiry list
  • filer export

06 — How it works / 75 min setup

Three steps, then it is furniture.

  1. 01

    Connect QuickBooks Online and Xero

Scoped authorisation, revocable from your IdP or the dashboard.

  2. 02

    Point it at the work

    Invoices with ship-to, SKU taxability.

  3. 03

    It runs

Nexus watch list — on a trigger or a schedule, 75 minutes after you start.

07 — Features / 7 listed

What is actually in the box.

  • Economic-nexus check against your trailing 12-month sales by state (you supply the thresholds table)
  • Invoice audit: taxable SKU, destination state, $0 tax, missing exemption cert
  • Monthly packet: taxable, exempt, marketplace-facilitator, and already-sourced-to-origin
  • Exemption-certificate expiry list — not a certificate vault
  • Export formatted for Avalara, TaxJar, or a CPA workbook
  • Does not file, does not register, does not call the state
  • Meter: $49 per state included in that month’s packet; unused states are not billed

10 — The money

Your hours, your hourly cost.

Two numbers: the hours this product removes at the catalog's stated volume, and the cost of an hour, which only you know.

10

You type this one. We do not know what an hour costs you.

Recovered per month

$500

10 h × $50 an hour, before the credits a run spends.

Where the hours come from: 5 filing states × 90 min of rate/nexus/return prep + ~2.5h of invoice tax cleanup.

11 — Pricing

Buy it outright, or get it with a plan.

One-time

$7,900

  • Perpetual single-workspace license to this product’s logic, UI and connectors. Runs still spend credits.
  • Returns $3,160 as non-expiring credits at your tier’s rate.
  • Twelve months of updates and connector maintenance included.

Per run

500 credits

$10.00 a run at the Starter rate of $0.0200 per credit, less on every tier above it.

Credit class: heavy

Every run carries a published hard ceiling. A run that hits it stops and re-quotes instead of billing on.

12 — Security

Runs on nox.markets, acts in your tools.

A scoped OAuth token pulls only the objects the inputs above require, writes the outputs back to your system of record, and keeps the run payload for your workspace retention window. Revoke the token in your IdP or in the dashboard; connector secrets are deleted within 24 hours of a disconnect.

Run payloads are kept for your workspace retention window — 30 days by default on Starter and Growth, 90 on Scale and Enterprise, with zero retention available on Enterprise.

13 — Customers

Someone like you, running this.

14 — Detail

The long version, including what it will not do.

US sales tax for a 10–200 person seller is usually a TaxJar or Avalara account that was set up once, plus a controller who still re-checks exemptions and “do we have nexus in this state this year.” Nexusmap does not replace a registered filer. It is a workflow that (1) lists where your invoices plus economic-nexus thresholds say you should be collecting, (2) flags invoices that shipped taxable goods/services with a $0 tax code, and (3) produces the monthly packet Avalara, TaxJar, or your CPA needs: taxable vs exempt by state, exemption-certificate gaps, and marketplace-facilitator sales to exclude.

Price is $49 per nexus state you run for a month (the `price_usd` meter). A five-state seller is $245 that month; a one-state seller should not buy this. It will not file the return, register you with a state, or give legal advice. If Avalara is already calculating on every invoice and a CPA files, skip it. Buy it when Stripe Tax is “on” and nobody can explain the five states on last quarter’s return.

15 — Questions / 5 answered

Before you buy.

What does it need from me before it can run?

Invoices with ship-to; SKU taxability; current registrations; exemption certs; nexus threshold table; marketplace reports. Nothing else is collected for a run.

How long does setup take?

75 minutes. Runs on nox.markets, acts in your tools. You authorise QuickBooks Online, Xero, Stripe, Avalara, TaxJar, Shopify, NetSuite, Google Sheets once.

What does it cost to own?

$7,900 once — band 4, System. Runs still spend credits. It is also included in the Scale plan at $2,900/mo — buying it outright is the way to keep it after a plan ends.

What does it hand back?

Nexus watch list; invoice exception file; monthly state packet; cert-expiry list; filer export.

Where does the hours-saved number come from?

5 filing states × 90 min of rate/nexus/return prep + ~2.5h of invoice tax cleanup
