03 — Proof

What is measured, and what is not.

The hours and the setup time are catalog math at a stated volume. Production telemetry is not published yet, and nothing here pretends otherwise.

Catalog math

4 weekly rosters × 2.5h to place 25 people around PTO and skills, plus 8 cover swaps × 15 min

Run telemetry

04 — What it does / 4 outputs

Builds weekly hourly rosters from availability, PTO, and role skills, and runs cover swaps as a link.

  • Published weekly roster
  • cover-swap log
  • hours CSV

05 — One run

What one run takes in, and what it puts back.

No sandbox on this page yet. This is the real input and output contract from the record, not a demo recording.

In

  • People and skills
  • shift templates
  • PTO
  • weekly hour cap
  • last week’s roster (optional)
  • cover rules

Out

  • Published weekly roster
  • cover-swap log
  • hours CSV
  • cap-violation list (blocked, not warned-and-scheduled)

06 — How it works / 45 min setup

Three steps, then it is furniture.

  1. 01

    Connect Gusto and Rippling

Scoped authorisation, revocable from your IdP or the dashboard.

  2. 02

    Point it at the work

    People and skills, shift templates.

  3. 03

    It runs

Published weekly roster — on a trigger or a schedule, 45 minutes after you start.

07 — Features / 7 listed

What is actually in the box.

  • Shift templates (role, location, start/end) and a skill tag per person you maintain
  • PTO and unpaid leave from Gusto, Rippling, or BambooHR so the grid does not schedule a day off
  • Weekly hour cap you set; Shiftgrid will not place a 50th hour if the cap is 40
  • Cover-swap link to qualified people only; the supervisor still confirms
  • Publish to Google Calendar or a print/CSV roster; Shiftgrid is not the time clock
  • Hours export as a CSV Payready or Gusto can import — Shiftgrid never clicks “Submit payroll”
  • Does not do tips, spread-of-hours, or multi-state wage tables

10 — The money

Your hours, your hourly cost.

Two numbers: the hours this product removes at the catalog's stated volume, and the cost of an hour, which only you know.

12

You type this one. We do not know what an hour costs you.

Recovered per month

$600

12 h × $50 an hour, before the credits a run spends.

Where the hours come from: 4 weekly rosters × 2.5h to place 25 people around PTO and skills, plus 8 cover swaps × 15 min.

11 — Pricing

Buy it outright, or get it with a plan.

One-time

$490

  • Perpetual single-workspace license to this product’s logic, UI and connectors. Runs still spend credits.
  • Returns $196 as non-expiring credits at your tier’s rate.
  • Twelve months of updates and connector maintenance included.

Per run

70 credits

$1.40 a run at the Starter rate of $0.0200 per credit, less on every tier above it.

Credit class: standard

Every run carries a published hard ceiling. A run that hits it stops and re-quotes instead of billing on.

12 — Security

Runs on nox.markets.

You type or upload into our app. Data lands in our region, is processed there, and the results stay in our app until you export them or a connected write-back exists.

Run payloads are kept for your workspace retention window — 30 days by default on Starter and Growth, 90 on Scale and Enterprise, with zero retention available on Enterprise.

Someone like you, running this.

14 — Detail

The long version, including what it will not do.

Hourly rostering at this size is a spreadsheet, PTO in Gusto, and a supervisor texting for cover. Shiftgrid is a hosted grid: you set roles, skills, shift templates, and a weekly hour cap; it places people around PTO and last week’s pattern, and opens cover swaps as a link instead of a group chat.

It does not replace Deputy or 7shifts for multi-site hospitality with tip pooling. It does not run payroll — hours can export toward Payready, but a human still submits in Gusto. It will not invent overtime rules your state requires; you set the weekly hour cap and the rest is on you. If everyone is salaried, skip it. Buy it when 20+ hourly people and the coordinator rebuilds next week every Thursday.
