Glossary

Definitions of tool, agent, workflow, pack, hosted, connected, self-hosted, entitlement, credit class, and the other catalog terms workspace admins will see.

Terms below are the catalog and tenancy vocabulary. Slugs in backticks are the values in the product record and the database. Labels in the UI match the taxonomy, not marketing synonyms.

Product types

tool. A hosted, single-purpose web app the customer uses directly. Someone is at the keyboard; the product is a desk, not a night worker. Access still requires a live Entitlement, and runs still spend credits unless the listing is one of the public capped tools.

agent. An autonomous worker that runs on a trigger or schedule and acts. It can run when nobody is signed in. Finance agents default to human approval; they draft, they do not pay.

workflow. A multi-step automation that wires systems together, often with little UI of its own. The admin configures the path; the output lands in a tool the team already opens.

pack. A curated bundle of tools, agents, and/or workflows sold as one job-to-be-done. Buying or including the pack expands Entitlements to the member products. It is not an editorial shelf (collection kind editorial is merchandising, not a Product you buy).

Deployment

hosted. The product runs on nox.markets. You work in our UI. There is no OAuth grant to your GL or CRM unless the listing is actually connected.

connected. The product runs on nox.markets and acts in the customer's systems through a grant you can revoke (usually oauth2). You do not map fields. Plan caps apply to counted write connectors (starter 2, growth 8, scale unlimited).

self-hosted. The customer runs it; we license it. Inference uses your keys and consumes 0 credits. Trial does not download the artifact. This path is how data can stay in your network.

Access and tenancy

Organization. The tenant. In the dashboard it is the workspace. Billing, Entitlements, integrations, ApiKeys, and usage all hang off it. A User is global; without a Membership they see no tenant data.

Membership. The join between User and Organization, with role owner, admin, member, or billing. Unlimited seats: Memberships are not a SKU.

entitlement. The materialized row that says this Organization may use this Product. source is subscription, purchase, trial, or grant. status includes active, trialing, grace, revoked, expired. accessLevel is full, read_only, or none. Feature code does not grant access some other way.

Metering

credit class. The size band for a run: L (2–15 credits), M (25–120), H (200–900), X (1,000–6,000). The card still prints a fixed credits_per_run and a per-run ceiling. H and X also publish overflow (for example per page) and stop when the ceiling is hit. Credits always appear with the USD equivalent at your tier. You will not see tokens.

tier. Plan names: starter, growth, scale, enterprise. Rank 1–4. tierIncludedFrom on a Product is the lowest tier that includes it.

pricing_mode. How you acquire the Product: one-time, subscription, included, usage. Credits still meter runs. included means the plan covers the license; it is not a free agent tier.

Catalog facets

category. One of seven: finance-backoffice, sales-revenue, customer-experience, operations-hr, data-intelligence, marketing-content, industry-solutions. There is no silent eighth.

setup_minutes. Promised click-path time for an admin who already has vendor rights. Not an estimate. Packs may exceed 60.

time_saved_per_month. Catalog hours at a stated volume, not a customer study. If your volume is lower, the hours fall with it.

ApiKey. Organization credential (nm_live_… / nm_test_…). Secret shown once. Default scope usage:write.

UsageEvent. Append-only meter of work. Deduped by idempotencyKey per Organization.

AuditLog. Who did what, with a redacted diff. Not a second copy of run_payload.

Invitation. Pending Membership. Token hashed at rest; plaintext emailed once.

What we are not

nox.markets is the AI capability marketplace for operators: browse, compare, buy, deploy. It is not a copilot, not an agent framework, and not a consultancy. Launch catalog is first-party. “Marketplace” does not mean a crowd of unverified sellers.
