Verify your email
The verification email, the 24-hour link, what stays locked until you confirm, and what to do when no email arrives or email is not set up on this server.
When email is set up on the server, nox.markets sends a verification email after you create an account. This page covers that email, what stays locked until you confirm, and what to do when no email arrives.
The verification email
If email is set up on the server, the message is sent right after signup. The subject is Verify this email for {workspace}. The link lasts 24 hours and works once. Each new link replaces the previous one.
Opening the link does not confirm anything by itself. The Verify email button does, which keeps mail scanners that open links from confirming for you.
The page says Verifying signs you in on this device. You then land on workspace setup.
If you are signed in as someone else, Verifying this address does not switch accounts. applies. Afterwards the page shows Email verified. Sign out, then sign in with the verified address.
Confirming the email for the first time signs out other browsers.
Before you confirm
Unconfirmed accounts can sign in and look around. Invites, API keys, setup requests, plan choice and settings or profile changes stay locked until the address is confirmed. This applies only while email is set up on the server. When email is not set up, nothing is locked.
The dashboard banner reads Confirm your email address. and Until you confirm, you can look around, but invites, API keys, setup requests, plan requests and settings changes stay locked. Setup pages show Confirm your email to continue setup. Setup saves details about your workspace, and saving needs a confirmed address. A locked action opens /verify?pending=1 with That action needs a verified email address. The profile page shows Read-only until you confirm your email address.
No email arrived
- Check the spam folder.
- Check the address on the signup screen. If it is wrong, use Use a different address.
- Ask for a new link with Send the email again (on the signup screen), Send a new link on /verify, or in the dashboard banner.
You then see If that address is waiting on verification, a new link is on its way. It expires in {n} hours. The wording is the same whether or not a link was sent. Send a new link sends at most 3 links per address per hour. Past that it shows the same confirmation but sends nothing. Only the newest link works.
The link does not work
This verification link has expired or was already used. We can send a new one. covers an expired link, a link that was already used, or a link that a newer one replaced. The resend form is under that message.
If the address is already confirmed, the page shows Your email address is verified. or That email was already verified. A temporary failure shows Verification is temporarily unavailable. Open the link again in a few minutes. If it keeps failing, write to {support address}.
When email is not set up on this server
You may see Email is not set up on this server yet, so we cannot send a verification link. An unverified email does not block sign-in here. For anything else, write to {support address}. After signup you may see Email is not set up on this server yet, so we could not send you an email. If you just created an account, you can sign in now with the password you chose. For anything else, write to {support address}.
Nothing is sent. You can sign in with your password right away. Nothing is locked. The Overview checklist has no confirm step.
